So hubby and I were talking last nite ... and it started where I was askin him: if they (whoever they are) interrogated him by binding him to a chair and cutting of his fingers one by one ... whether he would tell them where I was (if they meant me harm and all that) ... So he said he wouldn't say anything, but he would let them cut his fingers off (preferably the pinky first) and then probably pass out, so they can't interrogate him anymore, lol.

So my question to you (the question he asked me) is:
Hypothetical situation #1:
You are handcuffed to a steel beam, which is bolted to the wall - there is no way to remove it. You are cuffed by the ankle, your hands are free. The torturers leave you alone in the room for days and days. They leave a saw within your reach. There is no food, no water.
What do you do?

Hypothetical situation #2:
You are in the same predicament as mentioned in #1, but your loved one is hanging upside down, hair almost touching the water they are pouring into a tub underneath him/her. Also there are electric wires touching the water. Loved one is unconcious.
Saw is within your reach.
What do you do?
