Sorry guys for my absence. I have been drawing tons. You can see my newest art on my FB PAGE

Reason for absence: Our house partially burnt down. Yup...

We had to stay in a guest house for 4 months while they fixed it up. No computer there. We're back now, thank goodness. Home sweet home. 
Got lots of work cut out for us cleaning wise (contents of home which are all in boxes and covered in soot).
As for our welfare, we're fine. It was a big scare as you can imagine. Hubby was a little hurt, but it was superficial compared to what could have happened.
What happened you ask? We don't know. Everybody seems to agree it was an electrical short at one of the wall plugs. We were home when it happened, so when we saw the smoke we tried to put out the fire with wet blankets. It spread unbelievably quickly, so we called the fire department and they took care of the rest.

So here I am, back again and drawing. 

I also got a Wacom Intuos Pro   I literally jumped up and down when it arrived. When Inktober 2018 is done you can be sure I'll be uploading some digital stuff.

I hope the new year is treating everyone well. Just here to say, thank you for the continued support and have a good one!
I'll be adding some more traditional art to my gallery in the coming months. There is also another colouring commission in the works, so keep your eyes peeled. If there's anything specific you'd like to see, let me know and I'll see about it.

I don't celebrate Christmas and this time of year is the worst for me, but I do hope that everyone will enjoy themselves and spend time with their families and really just make the most of life.

FAQ

Q: Do you take commissions?
A: Yes, but it depends on how busy I am whether I'll accept a job. Send me a note and I'll get back to you. Since becoming a mom my time is not my own anymore, so I have to plan and put time aside to draw.

Q: What tools do you use?
A: Digital: Photoshop and tablet.  Traditional, I use Faber Castell pencils, putty eraser, normal eraser and tissue to blend.

Q: What's your process?
A: Digital process currently is: to plan and draw the sketch. This is the most important part of the drawing process. No matter how well you ink and colour, if the foundation is flawed the building will fall down. Think about the rule of thirds in photography, depth, interest and so forth. I generally use references. There are some great stock photographers and models on DA. Once I'm happy with the sketch, I'll do the line art on a new layer. And then the colours are done on more separate layers. Finally textures and effects are added.    I'm hoping to get Paint Tool Sai sometime, I hear it's great for line art.

Q: Have any tutorials?
A: I am planning on doing more in the future, but for now you can check out what I currently have on Sharenoesis.
